Last week, one of my best friends was out walking her 1-year-old around Atlanta, just alongside Grant Park.

Stroller in one hand, dog leash to a 90lb dog in the other, the afternoon was great. Until some no-good coward robbed her in broad daylight.

She's fine, thankfully. A bit shaken up, but ok. Unfortunately for her, the thief took her iPhone 4. A Verizon iPhone 4 that was just purchased earlier this year.

Eight months into a contract, she's stuck. Full retail price on an iPhone is a large sum. But come on, Verizon. We're not talking gross negligence or the dog ate my phone kinda stuff. She was robbed. In broad daylight. While walking her baby. There's even a police report as evidence.

And you don't care one bit. 

She's about to break her contract and switch to AT&T because it's cheaper. Still you don't care.

Really? Extend her contract and give her an iPhone. Offer her a discount. Do something. Anything.
